Curriculum Intent

Our science curriculum is designed to ignite curiosity, deepen understanding, and empower every student to think critically about the world around them. We deliver a rich, coherent, and rigorous programme of study that builds progressively from the foundations of Key Stage 3 through to the specialisms of Key Stage 5. This enables learners to explore and connect the big ideas that underpin biology, chemistry, and physics.

Fully aligned with the National Curriculum and AQA exam board specifications, our curriculum goes beyond the acquisition of facts and formulas. It equips students with the skills to question, investigate, model, and explain scientific phenomena using evidence-based reasoning. Through engaging teaching, hands-on practical work, and real-world applications, we nurture scientifically literate individuals who can solve problems, make predictions, and apply their learning in an ever-evolving scientific and technological society.
